Extraction and sales > Ezeroto quarry

The explored sections of the sea sand deposits are located within the aquatory of Varna Lake. They start in the immediate south vicinity of the city of Varna and are located at a distance of approximately 760 m in the north-west direction from Asparuhov bridge, approximately 800 m south-west from residential complex Hr. Botev and 2 km from residential complex Asparuhovo. Ezeroto workshop is located in the South Industrial Zone of the city of Varna. 

EXTRACTION TECHNOLOGY

The sand is extracted by using a suction tube dredger up to a maximum depth of 28 m below the water table. The extracted material is transported via a floating coastal pipeline to a washing depot constructed at the lake shore. After washing is finished, the sand is retained for about 10 days to allow for water draining. If necessary, part of the sand is screened.
